Inspired by 1970s comedy troupe Monty Python - whose ‘Ministry of Silly Walking’ sketch is recognised as one of the most hilarious in the British comedy archives - the National Trust South West has launched an online campaign to find the nation’s ‘silliest walkers’.

Rocks Beats Scissors
West Bay was the setting for a 3-day free family event this week - Rocks Beats Scissors - that's fossils, music & crafts, and possibly one of the cleverest event titles ever!.
A joint project between the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site Team, the Bridport Museum Trust & the National Trust Jurassic Coast Team, supported by the Dorset AONB Team and the Dorset Wildlife Trust, Rocks Beats Scissors was designed to be a fun, education event for families visiting Dorset's Jurassic Coast during the school holidays.
Jurassic Coast Kayak Safari
The Dorset Wildlife Trust have launched a new Jurassic Coast Kayak Safari using glass-bottomed kayaks at Kimmeridge Bay.
Led by qualified BCU kayak instructors from Secondwind Watersports, the trips use clear-bottomed kayaks and purpose-made ‘goggle-viewers’ to open a window into the underwater world, revealing the secrets of the seabed, such as snakelocks anemone gardens, seaweed forests and rocky reef inhabitants
The National Trust has opened it's newest shop in Lyme Reigs!
Situated on Marine Parade, right on the seafront and overlooking National Trust-owned Golden Cap, the new NT shop is now open.
Visitors and locals in West Dorset no longer have to travel to Corfe Castle, Studland or Kingston Lacy to stock up on their favourite National Trust products!.
